Implementing Coding on Mobile: Disaster Update

September 13, 2026

Hoo boy.

First implementation was a disaster.

First; Things that went well: Setting up Termux, getting a git repo available and able to be pulled into Termux.

What went TERRIBLY WRONG

There was a feedback loop between SyncThing and Git. A script I created ended up duplicating the ENTIRE repo into the content folder. Then SyncThing pushed those changes onto the Linux laptop. This caused a DOUBLING of files, every time I pushed to Codeberg.

Needless to say, I reverted all changes back to pre mobile implementation.

There is now a NEW PLAN: Look into Tailscale, and just SSH into my linux laptop when I need to actually deploy things. Nuke the git repo from Termux, and sort out SyncThing.

This is the alt text, make sure it isn't a lazy description, blind people view this as part of the experience.
