Implementing Coding From Cell Phone

September 13, 2026

Huge amount of work done.

Or, mostly a single day of work making some scripts.

I'm by no means a script wizard, I used Claude to teach me the basics.

I set up everything from my planning:

  1. Termux setup
  2. SSH setup for Codeberg
  3. Git clone into a writing directory.
  4. Setup scripts so that shared storage syncs with Markor and SyncThing.
  5. Create git hooks that use those scripts.

The resulting workflow is: 'git pull' automatically mirrors the Termux repo onto the shared storage, using post-merge.

'git commit' automatically pulls any changes from shared storage (new poems or writings from Markor work). It then restages those into pre-commit.

So now I can write a poem in public, on my cellphone.

Whenever I have cell signal, I can then open Termux and run the following:

cd ~/writing-folder git pull git add . git commit -m "Added writing" git push

This will push to my Codeberg repository.

I did however hit a snag using Wrangler. Wrangler CLI native dependencies expect a linux environment. Not android.

I am still unable to deploy changes made in public to my website's production on Cloudflare.

I will need to do quite a bit of additional work to get that implemented.

This is the alt text, make sure it isn't a lazy description, blind people view this as part of the experience.
